Get familiar with Georgia’s trademark, dignity which many times represented Georgia honorably – Georgian wine. Georgian wine has 8000 years history of winemaking and unique technology – Georgian “Kvevri”, which is represented in UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Georgians have 150 kinds of wine, which many times astonished foreign guests and visitors. During the tour you will be able to visit most prominent wine chambers, learn history of this famous winemaking technology, taste different kinds of wine, see how Georgians make wine and have master classes and attend Georgian “Sufra” accompanied with Georgian toastmaster – “Tamada”.
The price includes transfer from and to the airport, transportation with mini-van or bus, hotel, breakfast, price of master classes and degustation. The tours can be modified according to guests’ desires and preferences.

Tour Plan

Tbilisi

We will explore main dignities of City Tbilisi - outdoors Ethnographic museum, depicting characteristics of each region in Georgia, Sameba Trinity church, Old Town keeping history of 1500 years and blend of myths and facts, Sulphur Baths, Legvtakhevi waterfall, Gallery 27 hall, Leaning Clock Tower and puppet theatre. Cable-railway will take us to Mother of Kartli monument, Botanical garden, Rike Park. In the evening we will have supper at restaurant and go degusting Georgian wine at wine chamber, as well as learn about Georgian traditional technology of winemaking - "Kvevri" - which is unique and represented in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Chateau Mukhrani

We will visit Chateau Mukhrani - wine making cellar, castle and garden of the Georgian Royal family. Visitors have opportunity to learn about the history of Georgian Royal Family. At Chateau Mukhrani visitors will taste Georgian wine, have masterclass art of winemaking, walk through vineyards, visit the Winery and buy wines for special price. Afterwards we will head to village Chardakhi wine making cellar, which always amazes visitors with its design. We will have supper at Chardakhi and return back to Tbilisi to stay overnight.

Kakheti

In the morning we will head to Kakheti – homeland of wine. We will visit beautiful town Sighnaghi – also known as town of Love, explore small, lovely village Bodbe and head to Tsinandali. At Tsinandali we will visit local Duke’s, Alexander Chavchavadze house-museum – Tsinandali Estate. Historically Tsinandali Estate was cradle of traditional wine making. Visitors have an opportunity to taste traditionally made different wines here. Afterwards we head to Telavi to have supper and stay overnight there.

Kakheti

In the morning we head to Telavi, where we explore King Erekle II palace, attend art of winemaking and culinary masterclass and if it is season, attend Rtveli – Georgian grape harvesting. Then we move to Lopota resort, where at Chateau Buera – visitors can stroll down the vineyards, sip favorite wine, see the process of traditional winemaking and try it yourself. Lopota resort is the best place to relax, charge with positive emotions and unforgettable memories. We stay at Telavi overnight.

Back to Tbilisi

In the morning we head back to Tbilisi, have our free time and at the end of the trip transfer to airport.
