Classic Tour 2

Tbilisi is a city keeping history of 1500 years and blend of myths and facts. From lovely Turtle Lake, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views to whole Tbilisi. Nearby, we will visit really interesting, outdoor Ethnographic museum, depicting characteristics of each region in Georgia. Afterwards we will move to spectacular Sameba Trinity church. Next destination is Old Town with its carved and colorful balconies, patterned houses. We will go sightseeing Sulphur Baths, Legvtakhevi waterfall, Gallery 27 hall, Leaning Clock Tower and puppet theatre. Cable-railway will take us to Mother of Kartli monument, Botanical garden. Rike Park is stunning with its singing fountains and Bridge of Peace. The trip will not be complete without visiting Mtatsminda amusement Park and Chronicles of Georgia, which keeps rich history of Georgia in its Great Monuments. We will stay at Tbilisi hotel overnight.

In Mtstheta we will be visiting glorious Svetitskhoveli Church, mountaintop located Jvari Monastery with a great view, both represented in UNESCO World Heritage. Other destinations include Shiomghvime monastery, Armazi Fortress and others. Wine enthusiasts enjoy The Wine Chamber, where visitors can taste different kinds of wine and learn about Georgian exquisite and unique technology of winemaking. We will have delicious supper at restaurant. We return to Tbilisi to stay overnight.

Gori is famous with its house-museum of world-known person Stalini. After that we will move to Uflitsikhe - ancient rock-hewn town. After exploring 7th century Ateni Sioni orthodoxy church, we will head to beautiful café – Cave Town.

On a forth day we will travel to Kakheti, where we will visit little beautiful towns. On the way to Telavi, we will explore Shuamta Monastery, 11th century Alaverdi Monastery. We will visit 4th century Bodbe monastery, city of Love – Sighnaghi. At Tsinandali we will visit local Duke’s house-museum and, of course, try local cuisine at restaurant. We stay in Telavi hotel overnight.

In the morning we head to Lopota Lake resort and visit Chateau Burea and Kvareli Lake resort – both stunning, magnificent and relaxing sites to visit.

With its beautiful mountains and Gergeti Sameba church on top of the mountain, Kazbegi is one of the most fascinating regions in Georgia. On the way, we will explore Ananuri, with its stunning reservoir and historical Daryali valley. On the way back, we will try HB Gudauri restaurant khinkali. We return to Tbilisi overnight.

In the morning we travel to Samtskhe-Javakheti, we will visit famous resort Borjomi, prominent with its mineral, natural water. In the picturesque site of Borjomi valley, we will visit Green Monastery. The name was originated with the fact, that trees and stones around monastery is special green. Then we will move to Rabati castle, the gem of Akhaltsikhe town. We will have delicious supper there and overnight we will be staying in Borjomi.

In the morning we will head to Vardzia cave monastery complex, which at the first sight will remind you dwelling of dwarfs. Then we will move to Khertvisi fortress, one of the oldest fortresses in Georgia. Afterwards we will be having supper at Akhaltsikhe restaurant and head to Borjomi to stay overnight.

The next must-visit destination is Kutaisi. There we will explore Bagrati Cathedral, Gelati complex, cliff-edge located, more spectacular Motsameta Monastery. Then we will head to picturesque Prometheus cave underground lakes and rivers and Sataflia Cave, where we will see footprints of Dinosaur. We will have delicious supper at restaurant and stay in Kutaisi overnight.

In the morning we will head to Samegrelo. In Zugdidi we will explore Dadianebi Palace - house museums of local Dukes and head to Martvili, where we will see Dadianebi Residence. In Martvili we go to picturesque Canyons – famous Martvili Canyon and Okatse waterfall. We will explore fascinating historical heritage monuments, monasteries, Archeological village Nokalakevi and afterwards have supper at Zugdidi. Overnight we will stay at Zugdidi.

In the morning we will head to Mestia - regional capital of Svaneti. Mestia is a real pearl in the Caucasus mountain range with its rich historical heritage, ancient artifacts, magnificent castles. Many of the remains is enlisted in UNESCO Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We will visit Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography, enjoy the breathtaking views of Tetnulti, explore highest settlement in Europe – Ushguli and surely try local, mouthwatering cuisine. We stay in Mestia overnight.

In the morning we travel to Batumi – beautiful coastal city. Batumi is stunning with its modern architecture, Boulevard and lovely parks, narrow, patterned stony streets, famous Ali and Nino Statue and many other significant characteristics of this exquisite city. We will visit Batumi Botanical Garden – Mtsvane kontskhi and stroll between magnificent nature and enjoy picturesque views. In the evening we try famous Adjarian Khachapuri, walk Boulevard, enjoy singing fountains and visit Piazza Batumi - one of the most beautiful squares in Georgia. We stay in Batumi overnight

The next day we move to Sarpi town – the border between Turkey and Georgia and also Gonio Fortress, which was built 1st century AD and once it was a large Roman-Byzantine military settlement and an important strategic point along the Black Sea coast. We stay in Batumi overnight.

We head back to Tbilisi. Visitors will have their free time. At the end we will transfer to the airport.
